Have you heard of the new craze, Blue Apron? An easy way to create yummy, fresh meals for your family, Blue Apron provides a weekly shipment of ingredients, a menu and recipes to spice up your dinners!
My sister-in-law, Cindi has been using this service for a few months and wanted to share a free week with Nick and me. We just received the first shipment on our doorstep today!
We are excited to try out our first three meals: Chole Chickpea Stew (with collard greens and naan bread); Beat, Goat Cheese & Apple Sliders (with fingerling potato salad); and Three-Cheese Cannelloni (with butternut squash and kale). I selected the vegetarian option for this round but can edit my profile each week.
Check it out! And eat up!

What's New Wednesday
I apologize for my sleepy online presence as of late - no excuse! In effort to catch up on the latest and greatest, here's a quick rundown of my life over the last few weeks...
- A little Pacific Beach/Califf Cottage Saturday afternoon. The hubby and I had an adventurous day, exploring our neighborhood and backyard. We planted seeds, walked along the bay, ate at Rubicon Deli and enjoyed a beer at the Catamaran.
- A Superbowl party. As we know, the snacks are the most crucial component - and we were finally able to recreate these brownie burgers. Check it out!
- And the #shelfie love continues! Check out the photos below - me, showing off my new 'do, and musical artist Tolan Shaw, reading aloud at Webster Elementary as part of the Words Alive Share Your Love of Reading Campaign. **Don't forget to share your #shelfie and support Words Alive!**
- An OB date! The hubby and I finally used our Cohn restaurant gift card and enjoyed a lovely dinner (and beer) at OB Warehouse. I even tried pork rinds for the first time! Not a fan... We continued our OB night and tasted some new brew at a new brewery, Culture.
- And lastly, we had a wonderful Valentine's day weekend. Beautiful flowers, yummy chocolate-covered strawberries, a bonfire, game night and haunting exploration of the iconic Hotel del Coronado.
