A little recap...

Life has been fun and work has been busy - hosted a retreat for my scholarship students at the New Children's Museum, focusing on feeding the soul from within run by two fabulous women from Play2Create; participated in the annual Author's Luncheon event, featuring best-selling author Anna Quindlen; and facilitated a site visit to one of my schools with Anna herself. And this was all last week! I felt pretty darn lucky! Check out some of the photos.

What's New: Amazon Fresh

I'm not big on shopping - well, let's get this straight; I'm not big on shopping in-store. Conversely, I'm a huge fan of online shopping, and recently perpetuated my laziness by ordering groceries and produce via Amazon Fresh! Food was delivered on my doorstep within 24-hours - and just like its name suggests, fresh. Convenient, simple and cost effective (as long as you research the deals). We just tried it for a month - maybe we will continue? Not sure, but it was sure a fun way to grocery shop!

National Unfriend Day

Yesterday was National Unfriend Day - while ridiculous to commemorate, it reminded me of a Miguel Ruiz quote from The Four Agreements. I feel that some folks would benefit from reading, reviewing and internalizing these wise words. Check it out!

"If someone is not treating you with love and respect, it is a gift if they walk away from you. If that person doesn't walk away, you will surely endure many years of suffering with him or her. Walking away may hurt for a while, but your heart will eventually heal. Then you can choose what you really want. You will find that you don't need to trust others as much as you need to trust yourself to make the right choices.”
