Hello Wisconsin Wednesday!

Like I mentioned in my last post, Nick and I had a fabulous time with my M.I.L. and Lex! Check out the evidence below. Love you, both!

A major catch-up

Hey there! It's been awhile. (Whoops!) I haven't posted since September 1 - not sure why. Perhaps not inspired? Maybe too busy? Nothing to really say? Well, I feel remiss and need to do some major catch-up on life. So, here I go...and according to my cell phone pictures, I've had a lot of fun! Check it out!

Traveled to Wisconsin: Nick and I visited my M.I.L. (mother-in-law) Jill and her boyfriend, Lex. Residing just outside Milwaukee, Jill and Lex took us to great restaurants, Windy Point (overlooking Lake Michigan) and a cubs game. It was a great visit! More photos to come...
Shot some zombies: on a random Wednesday, Nick and I used our Christmas gift from Sean and shot some zombies. Serendipitously, Nick and I started to watch Walking Dead that same week. Well, he watches while I peek at scenes, trying to read my book.
Tried a new restaurant for my co-worker's birthday: for Theresa's birthday, we went to Taegugki Korean BBQ. Check out my yummy meal!
Met an interesting author, Deborah Ellis: La Jolla Country Day commissioned a visit from Deborah at our Monarch school. Students who read Deborah's first of her trilogy, The Breadwinner were able to ask her great questions about her travels, experiences and writing process. Thank you, Deborah!
Decorated the house: more to come! But here's a tease.
Hosted a baby shower: the Words Alive family and I assembled a fall-like baby shower for our co-worker and friend, Nicole. Baby is due this December!
Had a scary incident: Nick fell off a ladder and was rushed to the hospital. Luckily, he narrowly escaped with just some bruising and contusions. But he is still in pain. This was not such a fun night. Poor guy!
Got my haircut: not too exciting but something new nonetheless.

So, that's a little update on my life. This coming week, I plan to post about some awesome vegetarian meals from Blue Apron, showcase our Wisconsin photos and of course discuss Halloween!
